Eco-Knowledge Series: FMIS Authorization Module Demo with NMDOT

In 2017, EcoInteractive partnered with NMDOT to implement an eSTIP platform for the state. Shortly after, we noticed an opportunity to save significant NMDOT staff time from the labor-intensive process of duplicating data entry from our eSTIP into the FMIS system.
One year later, the novel FMIS Authorization module was built exclusively for NMDOT. The module aimed to streamline the data entry process into the FMIS system while maintaining consistency with programmed fund types and dollar amounts. This also added automated notifications for first-level review not included previously in the FMIS 5 system.
Ultimately, the FMIS Authorization module helps NMDOT maximize utilization of available amounts for all program codes in the STIP.
